THE POWER OF GRATITUDE
End of one week. Beginning of another. THE POWER OF GRATITUDE
It has been a rocky week. This week, like this year, has been tough. To find breath in the hardest moments, is like finding the sun on a cloudy day. The hard moments have been more common than the easy moments. The hard moments are the ones we seek escape, and yet there is no running, just feeling your way through it until the calm finds its way to you.
Every morning I have woken up at some ungodly hour thinking of people, places, moments that have changed ever so vastly, ever so oddly, ever so unknowingly. I have thought about the grief many of us had to take on, the pain of loss, the suffering of void. A void of the ones we want to love and touch, the void of the person we are so proud to be, the void of the past, the void of the present, the void of the future we want to plan for.
However, in those voids we must remember to search for the light and sometimes that light is the simple act of gratitude. So, in honor of Thanksgiving 2020, the light that I am shining this week is my gratitude.
I am grateful for my family. They have given me love and life.
I am grateful for my friends. They have given me love and support.
I am grateful for my talents. They have given me passion and vision.
I am grateful for my health. It has given me vitality.
I am grateful for my lessons. They have given me redirection.
I am grateful for the spirit. It has shown up when I least expected it and given me light.
I am grateful for being present. It has given me breath.
With that the quote of the week:
“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
