DEATH & REBIRTH
End of one week. Beginning of another. End of one month. Beginning of another. DEATH & REBIRTH.
Sometimes we find ourselves in the middle of endings and beginnings. We find ourselves in the middle of grit and glamour, of lust and love, of hazard and health . . . in the middle of shadows and experiencing the light, of holding onto extreme logic, but craving beyond creativity.
Investigating the depth of these paradoxes and dichotomies are not meant for the conservatives, where paths are straight forward roads rarely venturing off the pavement. These are meant for the wild and free, the creatives. The untamed who do not seek comfort or convenience, but search for the road untraveled, where pathways have not previously existed and the heart is the leader. Heart minded.
What becomes of these paths is a greater knowing of self. A greater understanding of our individual truth and beauty. An enchantment with our relationship to ourselves, and more importantly our relationship to others, our environments, our choices, and our steps on the unchartered path to a more connected and aligned space with what we call the universe.
In this new chapter, living in a city that I have known for so long, but feels unfamiliar, the church bells ring hourly in the near distance reminding of faith. Faith in the depth of being and faith in the crusade of becoming.
With that, the quote of the week:
“I am a human being, meant to be in perpetual becoming. If I am living bravely, my entire life will become a million deaths and rebirths. My goal is not to remain the same but to live in such a way that each day, year, moment, relationship, conversation, and crisis is the material I use to become a truer, more beautiful version of myself. The goal is to surrender, constantly, who I just was in order to become who this next moment calls me to be. I will not hold on to a single existing idea, opinion, identity, story or relationship that keeps me from emerging new.” – Glennon Dale from the book “Untamed”
